Context
Amal, as the Agency for Integration, brings diversity to life for all residents of Ghent. Whether you're a non-native newcomer, a native resident, a company, or an organization, Amal allows you to embrace diversity at your own pace. After all, everyone benefits from a harmonious coexistence in a diverse society.
Together, we created their new web platform, making a wealth of information more accessible for a heard-to-reach target audience.
Our starting point? The different challenges and questions of Amal’s target groups. Since Amal’s goal is to support non-native newcomers in finding their way around Ghent, their audience is very diverse and fluid. Through extensive user testing, we learned what they needed to find on Amal’s website.

Designing an inclusive framework
Armed with the knowledge of the user tests, we were able to tackle this project’s main challenge: simplify complex information through diverse and accessible functionalities that work for all target groups. As such, we were able to design an inclusive website that offers a smooth customer experience for all kinds of users.
