The importance of an optimised onboarding flow
Teamleader offers a complete business solution - ‘customer management, project management, and invoicing in one handy tool’. With such a diverse set of features on offer, it’s important to keep potential customers well informed and tackle any confusion as soon as possible. With that in mind, Teamleader contacted us with a specific request – to optimise their onboarding.

Website redesign for improved user experience
We started by identifying pain points in their onboarding flow through data-driven research, which led to a discussion around their website. With the Teamleader site often serving as the first point of contact and source of information for interested parties, it plays a crucial role in the customer onboarding process.

Armed with a clear plan of attack, we set to work rebuilding their platform from the ground up, starting with a fresh design. We opted for a component-based approach and built a coherent, user-friendly style-guide using Storybook. This also involved updating their brand identity for a more accurate representation of the organisation's values and identity.

Including Teamleader Orbit in the ecosystem
While Teamleader Focus is geared towards small and medium-sized businesses, they also offer a more comprehensive tool, Teamleader Orbit, optimised for larger and highly advanced organisations. Bringing this product to market and defining the difference between the two required some strategic thinking around their value proposition.

To avoid any confusion, we extended the website by introducing a system that allows teamleader to add a suite of products with clear parallels to the Teamleader identity. By using a flexible CMS and component based approach during initial development we were able to save time and money during this later expansion phase.

Launching a new branding in style
With both Teamleader Orbit and Teamleader Focus ready for their big reveal, the final step was to spread the word. With this in mind we produced an animated explainer video along with a few other targeted marketing materials, helping Teamleader gain significant exposure for the launch of their new brand, products, and platform.
Improving marketing operations
After the rebranding and website redesign, Teamleader had the desire to improve their marketing operations and generate more high-quality leads. To achieve this goal, we turned to Hubspot's marketing automation capabilities. We worked closely with the team at Teamleader to define the MQL and SQL criteria that would help us identify and prioritize the most promising leads.
Our approach, however, went beyond just crunching numbers and running algorithms. Whilst processing the data we wanted to keep the lead’s journey and its touchpoints with the sales team in mind. By doing so, we were able to build a lead generation system that truly resonates with Teamleader’s strategy.
