The team gets hairy for charity - Movember 2021

Once again we've put our money where our moustaches are to raise awareness for men’s health issues around the world. Here’s the story of Leap Forward’s 2021 Movember movement.

For those of you that are unaware of Movember, here’s a quick overview: Once upon a time a couple friends in Australia wanted to raise awareness for men’s health issues such as prostate cancer and depression, so they asked people to sponsor them to grow moustaches throughout the month of November. Logical, right? Almost two decades later and it’s become an annual global movement centred around growing a mean mo and looking ridiculous for 30 days, all in the name of charity.

We first took part in Movember in 2019. Six brave souls volunteered within the company and together we were able to raise around €1,000 which we donated to To commemorate our efforts we took a couple of pictures and put them online for the world to see.

Another year, another moustache

Unfortunately, we missed our chance in 2020… we were a little busy navigating quarantines and global restrictions. But in 2021 the Leap Forward Movember drive was back, and bushier than ever!

Having grown as a company since our last moustache drive, we had a lot of fresh faces eager to take part in Movember, guys and girls alike. To make the event a little more inclusive (and a little less macho) we also moved for Movember (running or walking 60km in 30 days) and baked for Movember. One creative character even auctioned off a designer fire extinguisher to raise money for the event. With our combined efforts and awesome moustaches, we were able to raise over €1,500 which we donated to a local charity, Kom Op Tegen Kanker.

Last but certainly not least, we ended the month by once again setting up the studio and snapping our moustaches in all their glory. We weaved the resulting pictures into a fun little story and, if you’re interested, a calendar featuring the moustachioed men of Leap Forward. Check it out at, and remember remember, grow your mo in November. All proceeds go to charity!
